Sir Robert Laird Borden
Served from 1911 to 1920 as Canada\92s eighth prime Minister of Canada. He was a courageous and devoted prime minister, gaining international recognition during the WW1 years and the following peace treaty. He received his degrees in St. Andrew\92s Lodge, GRNS, Halifax at the age of 25 in 1880 and demitted in 1888.
Viscount Richard Bedford Bennett
Canada\92s 11th prime Minister, served in the capacity from 1930 to 1935. he retired to great Britain in 1939, where he became a member of the House of Lords, being created Viscount Bennett of Mickleham, Calgary and Hopewell. Brother Bennett was initiated February 18, 1896 at the age of 25 in Miramichi Lodge No. 18 GRNB, Chatham NB. When he moved to Calgary he affiliated with Ashlar Lodge No. 28 GRA. He remained in good standing until his death on June 26, 1947 at Mickleham, Surrey, England.
John George Diefenbaker
Canada\92s 13th Prime Minister, serving in that office from June 1957 to April 1963, was born September 181895 in Neudsadt, ON and died August 16 1979 in his home in Rockliffe Park, Ottawa.
He was initiated in Wakaw Lodge No. 166 in Waklaw, SK and affiliated with Kinistino Lodge No. 1 GRS, of Prince Alberta SK in 1926. In 1977,he was awarded his 50-year Masonic membership jewel and certificate.
